We are pleased to invite you to the 7th SNETP General Assembly that will be held in Brussels on 22 February 2018. This will also be the occasion to celebrate the platforms’s 10th anniversary and take a look into the future, in particular concerning the evolution of SNETP towards becoming a legal entity, and working together to address the challenges that the nuclear sector is facing.
This year’s General Assembly represents a key milestone in this evolution as a vote will be organised to decide on the platform’s next steps. A vote will also be held at NUGENIA’s General Assembly in April. Decisions on the evolution of both entities should be made by the end of 2018.
The draft programme can be downloaded here.
Speakers include the Deputy Director General of the EC JRC, and representatives from EIT Inno Energy, ENS Young Generation Network and SNETP.
If you will attend the 7th SNETP General Assembly, please send a confirmation email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
The General Assembly will follow a seminar organised by the European Commission on 21 February in Brussels on how the next Euratom Nuclear Fission Research and Training Programme under FP9 can help Europe address the following issues:
- Maintaining the leadership of Europe in nuclear.
- Should the scope of Euratom be widened to other nuclear science applications?
- Which research activities should be supported to trigger innovation in both power and non-power applications?
