Join us at the annual SNETP Forum taking place from 17 to 19 April at the Antonianum Congress Centre in Rome, located Viale Manzoni, 1, Italy.

Participate in discussions aimed at accelerating the deployment of small modular reactors (SMRs) and advanced modular reactors (AMRs) by addressing essential business strategies. Participate in technical sessions covering key topics such as building new nuclear power plants (NPPs), improving the supply chain, digitalisation (with a focus on cybersecurity), exploring non-electrical applications, extending the life of existing plants (LTO) and addressing challenges related to decommissioning and dismantling, including effective waste management.

SNETP Innovation Award & I4N Italy Competition

The SNETP Innovation Award, part of the SNETP Forum 2024, invites eligible PHD students from Italian institutions, who are currently enrolled in or have completed their doctoral studies (PhD) in the nuclear field at an Italian institution between 2022 and 2026, to showcase their innovative work. Winners will have the unique opportunity to pitch their projects during the SNETP gala dinner in Rome on April 18th, attended by diverse stakeholders.

Three categories, including the Jury Award, Peer Award, and SNETP Innovation Award, will be allocated based on evaluation criteria such as PhD research alignment with SNETP SRIA, motivation, and innovation aspect.

Faced with the popularity of the SNETP Innovation Award, the deadline for applications has been brought forward to Friday, 29th March. Pass this date , no application will be considered for evaluation.

In addition, SNETP joins the Italian Nuclear Association (AIN) and the Italian Nuclear Young Generation (INYG), in collaboration with the European Nuclear Society Young Generation Network (ENS-YGN) and supports the organization of the I4N (Innovation for Nuclear) – Italy competition.

Innovation for Nuclear (I4N) is a competition in which teams of students and young professionals from around the world present new and innovative ideas on how to use nuclear technologies. This year’s theme is “Nuclear Towards the Sustainable Development Goals”.

Applicants are encouraged to submit their proposals by April 5th by sending an email to concorsi@associazioneitaliananucleare.it please refer to the following document for rules and application method. Selected winners will gain exclusive access to the SNETP Forum.

The SNETP Innovation Prize and the I4N Italy are complementary and don’t target the same candidates’ profiles.
